I just had a chance to play this ball and let me tell you: If you are trying to gain extra yardage on the tee, and increased feel on the green, this is the ball for you. The ball easily added 20 yards to my drive, and with my high swing speed, I was able to rip off two 340 yard drives whereas I’ve never been over 320 ever on this particular course. Also, short irons were traveling 1/2 club longer, and long irons almost a full club difference. 4 irons that were once traveling 220 in the air were going 230. I think there is about a 7-8 percent increase in distance compared to a normal ball, but it might even be more. I’m extremely satisifed with the ball, and even though they are expensive, they are worth every penny. Durability was also extremely good. Word of advice: Just don’t play on a tight course where you might lose too many of these gems.

I have been using Pro V 1′s and find this ball does everything that the the Pro V does. I am happy with the performance of the Callaway Tour.

I had been golfing on and off for about 3 years. I quit playing due to my music career and I have recently picked it back up. My game is not where it used to be, but with these golf balls my game is quickly gettting back on track. I’ve tried top-notch Nike, low quality Top Flite and the Callaway Tour ix are the longest, quickest balls I’ve used. They’re also really great around the green. Whether you are driving, chipping or putting, the Tour ix’s are the ball to use.
