Best idea I had in a while August 30, 2010 Ciprian Nedelcu (New York) Beer is always perfectly chilled and waiting for you. 3 different beers to choose from so far. Quiet, good for a night light in the living room as well.
I was able to reuse the little hose 5 times so far but it requires some know-how and make sure the keg is really empty before you try anything.
Also pouring the perfect draft takes some practice, but is definitely not brain surgery...
Works flawlessly, what foam is everyone talking about? August 12, 2010 DK (Southern California) I received the beertender as a birthday gift from my wife. Lemme tell you, I've been enjoying it a little too much! With the exception of my first pour (which was mostly head, this is normal..as is stated in the instructions) all of my pours have been perfect. I dont know what all this excessive head everybody is talking about. I simply followed the instructions:
-I purchased the room temperature keg the day before and left it in the fridge overnight and entire next day.
-I carefully lowered the keg into the beertender (knowing any vibrations will cause excessive foam)
Those are the only 2 things I did and it's been fine. Looks like I ordered it straight from the bar and it tastes 10X better than those skunky bottles I had in the fridge. Light pollution does some serious damage. There is seriously a night and day difference and this tastes like nectar from the gods.
My absolute favorite feature is the fact that I can pour as much or as little as I want. If I am just craving a little taste of Heineken, I can do just that. Without having to force myself to finish the rest of the bottle.
BeerTender Lives Up To It's Name August 6, 2010 D. G. Morelock 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this for a large party I was throwing for a friends new job promotion. I already have other drink machines including margarita, smoothie, super automatic espresso and a chilled wine cellar. Adding the BeerTender to the mix seemed a good fit. I looked at several machines, read many reviews and it came down to this one. I liked this one for many reasons, convenience (very quick and easy to place kegs in, no configuration or messing with carbonation), the look, great in my kitchen. The BeerTender was a hit, many people were amazed it was a keg dispenser, only because it looks too nice. I went through 4 of the Heineken kegs that evening.
The machine itself works very well, only the first glass of each new keg had foam, after that no foam issue at all, it is in how you poor, not rocket science. Really, there is no problem with foam as some reviewers wrote about, I can honestly say this because I watched other people use the machine in front of me and no one had this issue at all. The machine kept the beer at 36 degrees, it always poured a cold beer. They quickness in pulling out a keg and replacing could not be easier.
I am glad I bought this, will mostly only be used for parties large and small, so it may only get use once a month for an evening, it really makes an impression and the beer has a good flavor. On this topic, I have asked liquor stores to see if they can get other types of beer, I know there are only a couple other brands (I believe under the Heineken brand) as I have seen them on other web pages with the BeerTender logo. All the liquor stores act surprised when I ask this as they believe it is Heineken only, but I know there are others in CA, MI and the Chicago area. Each store said they would ask their suppliers.
I would buy this again, and I recommend this on the fact that it does exactly what it states on the box, it is of very good quality. I bought the B95.
Works Great! July 27, 2010 jedi380 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Krups B95 BeerTender from Heineken works great and pours pefectly every time. Don't believe those saying that it pours nothing but foam. The instructions clearly state that if you don't wait until the draught keg reaches the right temperature then you will see some foam. Just cool the keg enough and you'll be fine!
amazing and worth it! July 19, 2010 colwol 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got my beertender december 2009 and its been working great! Although it takes about 10 hours to completely cool a keg at 60 degrees to 36, its worth it! The kegs are extremely easy to change and I have yet to experience problems with foam. As long as you pour correctly and wait for the keg to cool, foam shouldn't be an issue.
Great product!
