5 out of 5 stars Works great   September 3, 2010

I got tired of trying to find a workable gas station air pump to top off the 16-inch tires on my pickup, and 17-inch tires on my Accord. The Slime worked right out of the box: plug it into the cigaratte lighter, screw the air hose onto the tire; fire up the car engine and turn it on -- way, way better than going to a gas station. I use it only for my two vehicles, and I've been using it regularly, about two years now. It's sturdy but, once, I had to retighten the cigarette lighter plug end. I store the whole thing in a small cardboard box under the back seat of my F150 (I don't use the case, it's a bit snug). Overall, this product has improved my auto care life.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome pump! Works great! Solid build!   August 6, 2010

I bought one a bit ago and was worried that I wouldn't be able to use it without the battery adapter because of the potential 15A current draw. I took a chance figuring that unless the pump motor was working real hard it wouldn't get up to 15A. My cigarette lighter only provides 10A. This worked fine with just the cigarette lighter for up to 35PSI on both of my cars.

The pump didn't have any issues overheating, was quiet compared to other pumps I've had, and didn't move around much. The case was a nice bonus. I don't even need the extension hose to reach all of my tires, but it stores in the case out of the way in its own compartment so it's there if I ever do need it. The gauge is fairly accurate, though I lose a little bit of pressure just from disengaging the hose from the tire.

Overall, A+++++

2 out of 5 stars Had to return   August 3, 2010

Worked on the first tire and then it died. Replaced the fuse but kept popping so I had to return it. Going to try a different model

5 out of 5 stars It's Not Just Hot Air   August 2, 2010

I just purchased this machine. It is a great value (features and price). I mostly got it for topping off car tires and it easily does that in a minute or two. The carrying handle is very nice (to prevent touching any hot surfaces). My gauge is off by 5 psi but I knew that might be a problem when I purchased it. So get a high quality digital gauge - you need one anyway. The power cord and the compressor cord are plenty long - I was easily able to reach all 4 tires from one power outlet. My only complaint is I'd like to have a quick connect on the hose (instead of screwing the connection to the tire nipple). But other than that, it's compact, quick, sturdy and fits (snugly) in a nice case that stores away nicely. And who wouldn't want a case that says "Slime" in their trunk? ;-)

5 out of 5 stars air pump   July 22, 2010

I have only used the Slime COMPO6 tire inflater 2 times on some small applications and it seems to be a quality product.It is smaller in size,much easier to connect to the valve stem,and is more powerful than my old inflater. I am confident that it will handle my SUV and boat trailer tires.
The Slime COMPO6 comes in a nice compact storage bag which I wish was just a little bigger because it is a very tight fit. Overall, it was a little more expensive than some of the other inflaters, but because of the quality and ease of operation so far I am glad that I spent the extra money.
